So...I'm in the process of creating one of the best Tuesday mixes of all time, the perfect mix of creepy, semi-angsty, and desolate, with a few happy songs thrown in. You may ask, why Tuesday? Well, I'll tell you why Tuesday! Prepare yourself, this may rival my whole "Monday is really Friday" rationalization.
So. Monday is miserable, but bearable because you're fresh, it's a new week and you're almost willing to believe it could be better than last week, so you're optimistic, or at least well rested at this point, if nothing else.
But Tuesdays- Tuesdays are Hell. Tuesdays are creepy and abrasive. By Tuesday you KNOW that this week isn't going to be any better than last week, it's going to be as suckish as you feared, and it's not even Wednesday yet. It's only freaking TUESDAY. You aren't even halfway through the week, it's a nothing day. A miserable day that you can't wait to get out of the way. Because after all, Monday you're fresh, Wednesday is the halfway day, Thursday is Friday Eve, and Friday is freaking FRIDAY. What does that leave Tuesday as? I declare Tuesday as a day belonging to misery and pessimism.
So you may ask, why does a Tuesday mix have happy songs on it? Why, it has happy songs because even on the WORST day EVER, something, SOMEWHERE is happy. Happiness is present, even if it IS elsewhere.
So, enough of why the list constitutes a Tuesday mix, how about I show you the list!
